Practice the Pause by Debbie
When the world has given you cause to berate
Take a deep breath, hold and wait
Slowly let the reaction subside
Put anger down, don't take that ride
When buttons are pressed on our unconscious "stuff"
We immediately get stressed and life feels tough
The gap between the rise and fall
Of one conscious breath can change it all
Practice the pause before you react
Come back to awareness to keep peace intact
Somehow, somewhere at sometime the way I connected with feelings changed into poetic expression, and so I have fun as I learn this method of creatively expressing.
